It's been covered for many years....

Tom Lehrer's, " When You Are Old and Gray" or
Hoagy Carmichael's, " Rockin' Chair" or even
Frank Sinatra's, " The September of My Years"
Me on this forum, 3/7/14:

"Guys, it's old Hillary. Try to stay on script."

...like alanleroy!

lol....And I said something like: "How old is she now, 80?"....I bring this up because you first suggested that she's old...not me or anyone else here...
Oh, you wouldn't believe who follows my lead.

I really think Hillary would have been a better choice for President than Obama. But that's back when she was younger.
Oh she wasn't very smart when she was younger; she voted to authorize Iraq. You weren't very smart back then either, were you alanleroy?

Don't blame me. I voted Libertarian.

All of this touching concern for Hillary Clinton's approaching decrepitude reminds me of a book that came out in 2008 entitled "72 Things Younger Than John McCain," 72 of course referring to McCain's age as he was running for President. Among the items mentioned were Social Security, the Golden Gate Bridge, and chocolate chip cookies.

Oh, and you know what else is younger than John McCain was way back when in 2008? Hillary Clinton right now.

You're right. McCain would have been the oldest US President at Inauguration. If Hillary runs and wins in 2016, she would be #2...although they say 69 is the new 49. Hell, sometimes I feel like I'm 6. Age is just a number. It's health that counts. If you don't have your health you got nothin'.

Oh yeah, I forgot that you're into science fiction.

Ahh, . . . science fiction. One of the loves of DonDiego's youth, . . . and back when it was science fiction, . . . written by folks like Asimov and Clarke, and Campbell, . . . with rockets and spacemen and robots and aliens and advanced technologies, . . . but based upon a reasonable projection of the Laws of Physics and Mathematics.
Not like nowadays when it involves all sorts of relationships (sexual and otherwise - what DonDiego and his pals would've called "mushy stuff") and magical powers ("fantasy") and imaginary crap {"imaginary crap").

But even as the modern-age of sic-fi appeared an appropriate scenario in the genre could be quite instructive.
F'rinstance the Star Fleet Academy training exercise named Kobayashi Maru.
The Quantitive Easing carried on over the last 5 years to keep interest rates low was supposed to return the economy to health. It hasnt. The present regime in Washington and the Federal Reserve face a Kobayashi Maru decision:
i. continue the artificially low-interest rate environment maintained by the Fed purchasing US debt and home mortgages, thereby increasing asset prices (to the benefit of the top 1/10-of-1-per-cent and to a lesser extent the full top-10-per-cent), thereby decreasing participation by those who would normally purchase US Debt and driving those folks into more risky investments as they chase yield. Oh, and also increasing sub-prime low-interest loans to the bottom 90-per-cent - [How are those kids with $200,000 education loans and no job gonna pay them off?} - leading to an inflationary economic collapse
ii. cease the qualitative easing by the Federal Reserve and watch investment markets and home prices drop along with bonds as interest rates jump up - leading to a deflationary (maybe, maybe not) economic collapse.

Maybe the policy persists beyond 2016, . . . but it seems pretty far out on-the-edge already to poor old DonDiego, . . . and if there is a collapse, DonDiego supposes folks won't be quite so civil to one another as they were in the Great Depression of the 20th Century. Maybe that's why national and even local civil authorities have been loading up on ammunition and equipment that used to be reserved for the military, like Armored Personnel Carriers. Or maybe not.

DonDiego just hopes he's out of these crazy stock markets before the collapse and that his garden and canned goods will sustain teechur and DonDiego through the toughest times. If'n not, . . . there's always squirrels and rabbits and turkeys hereabouts.

Perhaps some really smart Fed chairman could simply adjust the programs that report the health of the economy to improve the appearance of the health of the economy. This would then positively impact the psychology of business people and consumers and in turn, improve the actual health of the economy as we are more and more confident to spend money. "I don't believe in the no-win scenario"

What has she done with any competence that makes anyone think she'd be an effective President? Name one area of the world that is better from the U.S. POV from her time as SOS? Not to mention, if a man running for President had allowed his wife to have numerous affairs without leaving her he'd be a national joke and rightly so. The only reason Hillary Wynette is not a national joke is because the MSM are spineless pathetic losers. Jason Mattera is one who is not a spineless pathetic loser. This is awesome.

Yeah, she would have been better than Obama, but that's like saying Ted Bundy was a better human being that the Green River Killer because he killed less people.
"Old Hillary" is redundant.
