Looks Like I'm Heading to Vegas on Thursday

Finally going to head to Vegas either Thursday, Friday or the latest Saturday. About time! The last time we were there was in May and Faye got sick and we had to leave early to get her to the hospital.

Although I have the rental car scheduled for Thursday, I have no idea where we are staying yet. Will probably be the Silverton, but I can hear the Tropicana calling right now. I also have some nice deals and freeplay from Sam's Town and that includes a Gold Card for free meals anywhere in the hotel....as many times as I'd like. Maybe we'll split it up between two of them, although we're not making this one of those ten day... two week trips.

I'll let you know whee we'll be staying soon. I already spoke to my hostess at the Trop and she said they would match anything the Silverton would offer. Actually, she should know what the Silverton offers since she was once Executive Casino Host there. Gift basket upon arrival...cartons and cartons of cigarettes...all meals comped especially in their gourmet room...whatever that is at the Trop...and about $500-600 in freeplay. That would match the Silverton.
Gee, wish I had such dilemma where to stay haha. Sounds like a grand time will be had, have a great time Bob!

man, march seems like a long way away
Have fun on your trip! I'm leaving in 20 minutes for my flight!
Have a great time, wins lots of money and share a TR later.

Wow, how come you get such great offers...I'm figuring you are a high roller???? Duh
Thanks for the warning Bags. Just booked my 6 A.M. flight OUT of Vegas on Thursday. Just kidding....

I've been playing a bit at the Trop and it's a whole lot nicer than it was a year ago. I guess a $220M or so renovation will do that to a place.

One irking point with me.....no point countdown on machines so you never know where you are in terms of coin in. It might not be important to you but it's an important consideration for me.

The restaurant options are fairly limited but no more so than Silverton. Their cafe is quite good but the service has always been a bit shaky the handful of times that I've been there. To be fair, I haven't eaten anywhere else.

I liked Silverton but with our host gone and some cheap assing on comps/free play, we've moved on.

Good luck.

Went to Sams Town for the first time this week. Couldn't breathe in there and had to leave. That indoor garden waterfall must be loaded with chlorine. And - they put Christmas hats on the Mountain Lion and the Grizzly! Someone obviously thought that was a good idea! REALLY???
I have no idea where I'm going to wind up. Sam's Town might be the best for us right now! They at least have Dunkin Donuts at ST. Don't even have to leave the property. Besides, they have a nice slot tournament from the 10th - the 13th.
Actually, it's a hold em tournament. Who cares, $5000 is $5000 one way or the other!

Don't tell me they still use that "ACCEPT" thing on the vp machines. That's the biggest BS I've ever seen on machines. But the best part about those machines is that they never know how much money you are putting coins in!
