The M, Red Rock, or Green Valley for next year boys trip

I'd say all 3 places have a player friendly casino which is a PRO. Id also say all 3 places can be a little too sleepy which is a CON.

-I haven't been to Red Rock since the first year it opened so I wont speak too much about it. I recall it being beautiful but a little boring. More workers than customers when I went.
- I used to be a big fan of the "M" but the buffet went down hill, and the offers/comps went downhill, and it seems like I'm always the only person in there under the age of 80. I've skipped it the last few trips.
- Its been 2 years since I visited GVR. GVR has a Capriotti's on site which is enough to make me give it a thumbs up. But again...it can be really slow sometimes.

The best locals casinos to play tend to be ones where you would not want to stay at IMO. Example: I love the energy and low limit games at Texas Station but I would never stay there. If I had to name one off strip place that combines great rooms and a fun casino I would answer "The Palms".

Love the Palms
I wouldn't call RR boring. The place is packed on weekends after about 3:00 in the afternoon. Lots of choices on eating and some of them are even pretty good...but except for the steak house they are really loud (too loud for normal conversation). The eye candy is excellent.
Last stay was GVR (first in about 2 years) and we have written it off our list...just too many problems. Locals do keep it packed on the weekends tho.
Taxi fees to and from Red Rock will be very high.
To and from where will taxi fees be high?

I meant to say "fares" and not "fees".

To and from the airport and if you travel anywhere else not nearby.
I've read about Zowie Bowie............do you like them? I just read that the new 1.4 million square feet open air mall opens next to the Red Rock in a couple of months. I just read that the mall have these restaurants.

Andiron Steak and Sea
Bonanno's New York Pizzeria
California Pizza Kitchen
Earl of Sandwich
Gelato Messina
Grape Street Café & Wine Bar
Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar
Marketplace
MTO Café
Nekter Juice Bar
Pancho’s Mexican Restaurant
Pieology Pizzeria
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews
Ribs and Burgers
Rice Republic
ROC Resto Lounge & Fashion
Sushi Loca
Trattoria Reggiano
Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill
Wonderland Bakery

Well if you do make it Red Rock, I love the sports book, the burger place, and Zowie Bowie plays there on weekends. It is much plusher looking than Green Valley. I have never stayed overnight. My only overnight stay at Green Valley ended up being a major upgrade to a huge suite, so I don't know how to compare rooms.

Do you play MyVegas? RR and GVR both have rewards you can get with MLife loyalty points.

Of the three places you've listed, I've only been to The M. If I'm going to stay at a hotel/casino that isn't on/ close to the strip or downtown, the South Point is my first choice.
this "pecker" thinks that Red Rock in our stays has been top notch!
good luck
No MyVegas for me.

Thanks Pecker. Have you been to the new open air mall next door for dining?
