Mall rally

First off, I really hope this doesn't go downhill as I really don't want to clog the front page with anymore OT topics, especially controversial ones

Secondly I don't think there should be any party biased posts about it, or at least not too much as I think it's an opinion only type deal.

I returned home and saw that there was a huge rally of hispanics on the mall today with some congressional leaders even getting up on a whole stage set up for the event. It was a rally to grant amnesty to all the illegal aliens in the US. All I could think of were the Honor flight WWII vets who were met with fences and barricades last week. I can only imagine what those guys are all thinking.
I'm not a huge patriot rah-rah kind of guy but I have felt pride at some points in my life, sadly more embarrassment, but I don't thin k ever felt ashamed. Today watching the news, I felt ashamed.

Vietnam vets have been arrested for visiting their own open air memorial. Illegal immigrants are granted a permit to hold a rally on the national mall, hoisting the flag of Mexico!

As to no party biased posts....sorry John, but, No Republican Would EVER Do This!

I hope they were thinking "That's what we fought for."

You know: "...the right of the people peaceably to assemble..." Real patriots never exclude certain people or certain beliefs from that right.

Sorry Forkie, on this one you are completely wrong. During another time, you would've been absolutely correct and no matter what kind of forkie spin you want to try and put on this one it ain't gonna fly, not after those vets got turned away, nope.

Oh, and let's not make this a rep vs dem thing here people. I'm not even sure if there were any reps in there, never saw a list, but whatever congressmen were there, they're equally shameful(rep.s included)

Gotcha. Apparently we only have "...the right of the people peaceably to assemble..," when it's symbolically convenient for you.

Nope, our freedoms exist 24/7, during peace and war, and during good times and crisis. Shame on you for believing otherwise.

.................................... This would never happen Downtown
