He would be on the honor system for his taxes and I don't know if the IRS would somehow note his name? A payoff on an even bet would not require the casino to have to file a W-2G on him.

What was the purpose of this "jest?" Where did the 33% number come from? How is it relevant to the story? Would the "jest" have been funnier if Robbie's cohort had used 23% instead?
