The estimated jackpot for Tuesday 17 December is $550,000,000 ! ! ! That is over a half-billion dollars American.
If poor old DonDiego were to win he'd open a large chain of orphanages for wayward young women.

I predict that no one will win Tuesday's Mega Millions and that it will go on to become the largest lottery jackpot in the history of the world.

I concur and I bet it'll get to a billion, if not this time, some future game. I think that was partly the intention of the officials when they jacked the odds from hyper crazy to ludicrous batshit crazy. Shoot, out of all the tix sold this last drawing only three matched the first five numbers.

Actually, I also needed 12 as one of my MM numbers. I wound up winning $8.

Read in the paper that lottery officials stated that 65 - 70 % of the possible combinations will be in play. That is not necessarily good to me, as I have the winning ticket. It implies that I will have to share the jackpot.

I'm not sharing. Either I win it all or it rolls over. Need 10 tonight as my MM. BUT, any other MM that I do have will work! If it rolls tonight, we'll see the first BILLION DOLLAR LOTTERY!

Just a reminder to the folks who play, would really suck to find an old ticket and find it's expired. Expirarys vary by state, I think here in Va. it's 180 days. I usually buy my tix from a machine at the grocery store and take all the tix I've bought and scan them myself every few months. I have an aversion(superstition?) to checking my tix, I don't wanna ever be one of those people who obsessively check their tix right away or worse, watch the drawins. If I win, I figger I'll hear it on the news or the radio sometime.
