MegaBucks hit at $3.2-Million Jackpot at Pala Casino Spa and Resort in Pala, Calif

Was anybody aware that the megabucks was hit at Pala Casino yesterday in california?
You know that is the Native American version of Megabucks, right? Linking the Indian casinos, only.
Congrats to whomever won it. Was it a progressive of only Calif "Indian" casinos?
Yes, it is a progressive from only bets at Indian casinos. I checked IGT's website and it appears to just be California. The megabucks game reset to 3-million.
See www.megajackpots.com and https://www.megajackpots.com/big-jackpots.aspx

I don't understand why they just don't combine the Indian Megabucks with the "normal" Megabucks. You'd have a jackpot of over 10 mill or higher all the time.

I think it's a jurisdictional, licensing thing. You're talking about gaming and tax revenue involving two states Nevada and California.

Yes i do, i play at Pala and Valleyview a couple times a month!
A little bird told me that IGT had to call Pala TWICE to tell them someone hit the jackpot.

Could be a control issue. I know if I were first nations running a first nations casino I would want autonomy. Probably also some tax issues.

I don't think you're joking here. Could you please explain more? Did the casino fail to notice someone was sitting at the machine with the jackpot showing???

I'll tell you why. I got the email alert from IGT and when I contacted Pala's PR guy he said they will have a release out the next morning. When I asked, why not now -- he said again "tomorrow morning."
