Monday Night Football

It's called Monday NIGHT Football. Not Monday evening football or Monday late afternoon football.

Well I'd rather it called "Monday evening football or Monday late afternoon football",
and have the wrong program title for the east coast,
than having it start on the Left Coast and it not being Monday "Night" yet.

It dates back to Colonial times when the left coast was on the Mississippi.

I think TB won the Super Bowl in 2002. How did they get to be so bad?

Pats/Panthers this Monday, should be a better game to watch.

It will be two weeks without my Patriots playing on a Sunday,

........ and this time they will be playing on Monday night with an 8:30 pm east coast starting time.

That really Bites the Begonia, trying to stay awake, and then getting up early having to work the next day.

I do hope the Left Coast sports fans appreciate what us east coast fans have to put up with,
so that they can watch games at a normal hour.

I had to travel on business to Boston one time, where I was there on Monday night. It felt sooooooo unnatural to watch the Monday Night game come on at 9 pm. We do have it good in the West.

Two suggestions, record the game and watch the second half after you wake up. I've found that the 30 second commercial skip on the DVR if hit just as the play is over will bring me to the point where the offense is ready to snap the ball. Also, by eliminating the commercials, you should be able to watch a half of football in about 45 minutes. If you still have a VCR, it should also work for you. Just get up a little earlier and you won't have to worry about anything spoiling your enjoyment.

Second option is to watch the game on the NFL network. If they still do it, you can watch the whole game in an hour as they have cut all the fat out of the broadcast.

I no longer have a DVR or the Sunday ticket so I have to go to a bar to watch my Giants, even if they are on Monday night since it's ESPN and I can't get it over the air.
I tried to watch games on NFL network with all the fat cut out. It will take some learning on my part to deal with the pace of play. My brain is not used to plays happening so fast.
Good game on NFL tonight. Anyone figure out the Colts yet?
Panthers - Pats game on Monday night here in Charlotte, Weather should be fine. mid-50s rain early in the day but out by game time.

Thats a look at the weather, Don Diego will be back with a live report from the Eagles game after these messages.
Best part of being out west is that the games start at 10 am. Really nice when you get used to it. Same thing with SNF and MNF starting at 5:30 pm and over by 9:00 pm.
