My Online Petition

I've started and online petition to try to get the Nevada Attorney General to investigate the legality of Resort Fees charged by the hotels in Vegas. If you would like to take the time and look over the petition and maybe sign it, here is the link.

Pardon my vernacular, but Ray I would say you have the casinos' balls in a vice with this campaign.

Why should we care if we pay $100 + $30 for the hotel room, or $130 for the hotel room?

We shouldn't!

But we should care if consumers are given the "bait" of a $100 price, and then get "switched" to a $130 price one or two clicks later, typically in much smaller print. It's deceptive, and it puts the more ethical hotel advertising the $130 price up front at a disadvantage.

I question whether a petition with less than THOUSANDS of signatures would even be "noticed" by the appropriate decision maker.

At the same time, an email or snail mail letter should at least garner a reply from them, and just may be more effective in getting someone to "look into this" after whomever receives and reads a quantity of messages far less than thousands.

JMHO, of course.

Personally, I will not sign an online petition. Do not want my personal info "out there" in unknown hands, if possible. I would be happy, and enthusiastic to send an email, if a link were provided. I'd probably send an email from more than one email address and online 'identity'. Probably more than once also.
