The New iPhone

I have a smart phone. I use it for phone calls, a small amount of texting and emails, and GPS for directions. Other than for phone calls, I really don't spend much time on it.

Why people feel the need to spend two days in line for an iPhone is beyond my comprehension. In a month can't everyone just walk into the store and buy one with no wait?

What the hell am I missing out on?
It is called hype. Apple has been doing it for years. They create the false impression they might run out so a few fools wait in line. Futurama EyePhone Clip
I can't help but laugh whenever I see the morons camping out for the new phones, It's ridiculous.

I thought the absolute best vid clip posted on the delete thread recently was the guy fumbling while opening the box and the phone flops out on the ground. I musta watch that clip for a solid 3 minutes.
I don't care that these folks find a little electronic box intriguing, but I don't understand the extent of the intrigue.

Six years later I still think this clip is pretty hilarious.Text
Meanwhile, on eBAY these new phones are being listed "Buy It Now" at up to $2500.

Really? Iphones? Did you run out of political BS to whine about?

Was Melonhead one of those who spent a day waiting in line for a tiny electronic box?

No, melonhead did not spend even a minute in line for a tiny electric box. Nor did he go to an online "Las Vegas" forum to whine about people who did....
