New Margaritaville Casino

Bardolater:

I suppose that the comment on carry was a little rash.

I am more responsible than that. I am a former cop and former military intelligence officer. I am trained on weapons and when to use them.
teechur and DonDiego enjoyed a visit to the Margaritaville, Biloxi property last Fall, . . . on the way home from the Eagles/Saints game. Smallish, . . .but very neat and bright, . . . and with a great deck/restaurant on the water.

If they ever get near Bossier City, they'll likely visit this new joint: Margaritaville, Bossier City

DonDiego thanks dfwgambler for the news.
The River Spirit casino in Tulsa is soon to become a "Margaritaville Casino", after a 250 million dollar expansion and renovation.

Do you normally carry while gambling around other gamblers who are drinking?
If so, why?
A casino is one of the safest places to be.
If its walking to your car you are worried about, go for valet.

Thanks for the update. Heading to AC next weekend, might head up boardwalk on Saturday for a visit. Cut my gambling teeth at Resorts.
Treegirl:

My permit allows me to carry almost everywhere.

The only time you will regret not carrying is when you needed it but did not carry.

You don't ever pull a weapon unless you are going to fire it (as a civilian).

Two of my close friends have been saved by having a weapon on them. (One also a former policeman.)

Thanks for the clarification. Pickup truckers at an opening of a Jimmy Buffett place should not be willing to get into a fist fight or worse over a parking spot. They ought to install swimming pool liners in their truck beds and organize wet t-shirt contests.

Police as a group seem to prefer that citizens not carry, and tend to favor some kind of gun restriction, if for no other reason than that it reduces the number of stolen guns. You are obviously well trained, but the notion of average Jill and Joe packing heat scares the crap out of me. The NRA, which could be very helpful in educating the populace, does next to nothing, aside from paying lip service and rubber stamping almost entirely unregulated certification programs.
We just got back from our trip to Bossier City and the new Margaritaville Hotel and Casino. Casino seem to just suck the money out of our pockets but lots of nice shiny new slot machines. Did not get players card because the line was backed up all the way down the casino. Had two drinks at the It's Five O Clock Somewhere Bar. Not bad price, bottle of Bud is $3 and margarita is $6. We did take a cab over there from the Horseshoe after you talked about the parking. Well I guess things have settled down a little because there was plenty of parking but we were there in the afternoon not night. Cab ride was only $4.
