An election! Like in Novemeber, 2012. But dude, your "Hmmm" makes it sound soooo sinister.

I sure hope it is for real. I will believe it when I see it. Enough American, blood, sweat and tears has been shed over there and for what.

It's such a sad thing to think of how many soldiers and civilians got killed in this ridiculous war. Can you believe that this war in Iraq and Afghanistan has lasted longer than the war in Vietnam. Thank you President Bush!

Your party gets it's ass handed to them on a silver platter !

There has been a brief delay while the United States tries to negotiate a Security Pact with President Karzai of Afghanistan to extend the presence of a small US military force after combat concludes.
(A similar delay occurred in Iraq until the negotiations failed and the US just left in December 2011. They left behind a defeated al-Qaeda and an Iraq where traditional rivals Sunni and Shiite Muslims were sharing power in the world's only Arab democracy.
Two years later, al-Qaeda has seized major cities where hundreds of U.S. troops died while fighting alongside their Iraqi brethren. The population once freed by the U.S.-Iraqi alliance has now watched those same jihadist insurgents return to command the streets and impose their will.

The Afghanistan negotiations for a Security Pact will likely end before, . . .umm, . . . say, . . . mid-August at the latest, 10 weeks before the 2014 US elections.
But one need fear not for the Afghani people. President Karzai has confirmed he is engaged in secret talks with the Taliban, which reportedly wants to join the Afghanistan peace process.

Everything will be as it once was.

I sure wish you were more of an independent thinker. I asked you a question a couple of weeks ago and you probably didn't see it.

Do you do any volunteer work for non-profits or charities? If you don't due to a physical condition do you give any money to charities?

It almost sounds like you are protesting. Would Don Diego prefer another surge? Another trillion added to the debt? Another 10 tours of duty for the troops (if they live)?

Some people knew the sectarian violence that has defined the Middle East for a thousand years would not be ended by a Western Occupation. Too bad those people weren't calling the shots from day one.

I am going to put this quite bluntly. If you don't like my response, tell AC.

It's none of your fu$%ing business what I do with my money.

As far as non-profits and charities, almost all of these so called fundraisers and charities in my area are scams.....scams designed to put more money in the pockets of rich people. You see these charity/fundraiser events quite often in the society page of the local Republican controlled newspaper.

Even tho I did tell you my money is none of your business, I will allow I do occassionally contribute to fundraisers for friends/acquaintances that lost their homes in fires, friends who have died and their relatives simply cannot afford to bury them. BUT, I will not contribute my time or money to these so called scammers masquerading as charity events in my area.

As for my perceived anger towards Republicans, I live in a county that has been Richpub controlled for over 100 years. I have seen every dirty, illegal Repub trick and scam in the book. The county I reside in is the one that taught Cook County how to be corrupt ! The county I live in is dirt poor, due to the corrupt Repubs having run it into the ground. They are still in control, and still stealing the money. And the sheep still vote them back in.......year after year after year. David Letterman (on his show) used to make fun of this county and it's main city. It was rated DEAD LAST in the 2000 Places Rated Almanac.
