Obama tells Pentagon to plan for Afghan pullout

I never threatened to go to AC. I just wanted to prove you a huge hypocrite. You are definitely part of the "Do as I say and not as I do" crowd.

You unfortunately appear to be brainwashed and believe the democrats can never do wrong and the republicans can't do right. You don't champion causes for the poor, you just play politics of hatred.

I'm pretty sure marcisdave doesn't match that particular description. I'll bet he supports:

  • The immigration reform of George W. Bush
  • The national health insurance of Bob Dole and Mitt Romney
  • The campaign finance reform of John McCain.
  • The assault weapon legislation of Ronald Reagan
  • A renewed Voting Rights Act, which Senate Republicans voted for unanimously in 1996.

Meanwhile, the current GOP shut down the government at a cost of $24 billion and tried to use the threat of default as ransom, even though the deficit is dropping faster than any time in modern history. They talk about "nullifying" federal laws, want to restrict access to birth control pills, and thought that Chuck Hagel was too liberal to be the Secretary of Defense.

The overwhelming choice for governor by Republican voters in Virginia was a guy who wanted oral sex to be illegal. And having hired and promoted sociopathic criminals in his administration, Governor Christie is now more popular with the hard right than he ever was before.

One party is centrist, the other is indistinguishable from the fringe John Birch Society of a few years ago. These days, all the GOP has is crazy, and Roulette Man, all you have is insults.

  • So much of what you wrote is flawed, but anyone who believes the GOP shut down the government is genuinely jacked in the head, or just as brainwashed as marcisdave. Stick to posting on the DailyKos with the rest of the loons.

  • I think you missed the main point. MarcisDave sits there and complains but doesn't lift a finger to help.

    No. No. And, no.

DonDiego is not protesting. He thought the phrase "Everything will be as it once was" would prevent any misinterpretation that he was protesting. If one tries hard enough one can misinterpret anything.

DonDiego is just documenting recent events. When the Taliban is back in power and women, . . . women not provided contraceptive aids by the new Government, . . . are being stoned to death for some amorous daliance, common worldwide without such punishment, DonDiego will be unable to do more than "feel their pain".
Only the way of Allah: submission to the all-wise and all-knowing is what humanity needs to prosper, . . . not the conjecture of men. The ascendancy of Islam, which is God’s plan for mankind, is a sacred end.

DonDiego is glad he lived in the 2nd-half of the 20th Century, probably the apex of mankind's accomplishment, . . . and certainly of America's.

DonDiego is not protesting. He just wants to be left alone.

Forkush's activity at Dailykos seems to have slowed in the last couple of years. At least his blogging.

How exciting. I have my very own stalker.

I don't know if this would be true if you factored in the sized of the military in each of the years. But I just don't believe you can just jump to the conclusion that more military personnel died because we were at war.

From Wikipedia: "A total of 4,486 U.S. soldiers were killed in Iraq between 2003 and 2012". That turns out to be about 448 soldiers per year, less than in every the peacetime year between 1980 and 2002!

I understand that statistics can be manipulated to show just about any viewpoint, I just choose not to waste any more of my time trying to figure this all out. You can't change the past only the future.
