Its an unfortunate reality that K-street dictates policy to our government.

What amazes me is the degree the health insurance industry is able to control the debate. Certainly they have money to bribe politicians....but so does the rest of corporate America. I would presume that most American Corporations would have a huge interest in lowering health care costs. I don't understand why companies like Pepsi, Proctor & Gamble, 3M, (etc) are content to sit back and allow the health insurance industry wreak havoc on policy. Health care costs are a big line item on corporate spending. I don't understand why those corporations are not more vocal in the debate ...and why they don't throw money to stop the health insurance lobby from dictating their self serving policies.
Because they are all participating in a giant circle jerk that depends on government cash and other handouts to get them off. Right now Obama is their pivot man. A lot of them use the same lobbyists and belong to the same organizations (ALEC, US Chamber of Commerce, Club for Growth and ect) they aren't going to turn on each other.

I believe this to be true. Has nothing to do with health, improving health of anybody, reducing costs, or who is president. Everything, everything, everything, name your issue, name your cause, comes down to MONEY, who stands to overtake whom financially, pyramid schemes of their own. At our level its pidgeon-statue, or pure luck, as to how one comes out in the mess of the day

I couldn't agree with you more.

Wow, what a reach to blame someone. I don't think Obama has been a good or even a decent president, but, it seems there are still a lot of folks still BEYOND PISSED that there is a BLACK man in the WHITEhouse........ I thought even political hacks would be beyond blatant racism in 2014..... Sadly, it looks like I was wrong....

I can vouch for that, MAL's a bleedin' heart from way back.
