Which is an argument against ALL private health insurance and ALL employer provided health insurance (especially it it's, gulp, Blue Cross), since about the mid-1940's. Thanks Obama.

Your argument only works if health care costs are what they were in the 1940s. Even adjusted for inflation they are nowhere in the ballpark. Back in the 1940s health insurance was a luxury that is why it was cheap. People could afford to pay for their treatments out of pocket even if they were hospitalized.
The numbers don't work in 2014.

You made a big thing about auto insurance. The only auto insurance my state requires people to buy is 10k in property damage and 25k in BI. Under Obamcare families have up to $12,650 in deductibles before insurance pays anything. Funny how that work auto insurance pays up front health insurance doesn't .

There are many changes to this dumb law that can be made that will highly improve it. But your boy is too thin-skinned to realize and accept that his baby can be improved, from A to Z. That's why he lies so much. It's pathological for the community organizer with no executive experience, at this point.

Holy shit! I agree with albeadle about something.....sorta.

You're damn right changes can be made to this law to improve it...and I think the president has agreed with that statement about 100 times. But the debate from your leadership has never been to improve the law....their debate has always been to revert back to the train wreck we had before. I point you to the 50+ votes in the House to that effect.

But I'll gladly hold hands with albeadle on the issue of fixing the new law to make it better. Just dont get frisky, young man. It doesn't mean we're engaged or anything.

You're confused again. There have been almost a dozen policy changes from the house submitted to Harry Reid, and he lets them just sit on his desk because Obama told him not to act on any of them. He's afraid his legacy will take a hit, but just as any "community organizer" with zero executive experience discovers, the big hit awaits this idiot down the road anyway, and it will come with complete color-blindness.

PJ, how have Liberal policies worked for the American Indian? I argue that no group has been given more and accomplished less..........because of Liberal policy....than the American Indian.

Liberal wish for good things, but their policies cause bad things.

We know our resident conservatives despise the idea of government run insurance. And now they complain about scumbag private insurance. What else is left? Is there a magic, healthcare unicorn that can make them happy? Or is this just another in a long line of complaints without alternatives? Yeah - that.

Wow, what a reach to blame someone. I don't think Obama has been a good or even a decent president, but, it seems there are still a lot of folks still BEYOND PISSED that there is a BLACK man in the WHITEhouse........ I thought even political hacks would be beyond blatant racism in 2014..... Sadly, it looks like I was wrong....

Where in the world did this come from? Did someone say something racist here? if so, I missed it, please point it out to me.

Insurance companies are scumbags. That was true before and after Obamacare. The new law forces them to be lesser scumbags. Clearly more can be done as this incident demonstrates.

I'm much more alarmed by the 1.2 million dollars in medical bills for a 40 day stay in a hospital (which included 2 surgeries). Lets presume the surgeries were 100K each...which would be outrageous. Then, what? 1 million dollars divided by 40 nights = 25k/night in the hospital? Crazy.

Yep $25k a night is bout right... If I had my druthers for that kind of cash there would be at least a couple of hookers and some good booze.

Name one industry the gov't. has ever run well...
You mean regulated well? Well, I do believe most state governments mandate that all motorists maintain minimum liability insurance, so that irresponsible uninsured motorists don't cause the rest of us a lot of money. Furthermore, those same states regulate the insurance companies to make sure their contracts are fair and that they pay claims in a fair and timely manner. (Although if they allowed junk auto insurance policies I bet they'd be cheaper!)

It's a pretty good system. Maybe they should try it elsewhere.

Those state minimums don't quite pay for squat.... New cars today run $25k and up and woe to you if you get hurt in a new car and the person only has $25k in insurance as required by law. 1 day in the hospital runs $25k, what does one do then?
I am one of the most liberal folks on here and I can assure you it has nothing to do with a black man being in the White House. It is about accountability. Obama needs to put the crooks that run Anthem in jail not make them his business partners and then force people to do business with them.
