Olympics

Anybody watching?

Any favorite events?
Women's beach Volleyball. I watch their butts more than the actual game.
watching every night. Swimming for now but track and field is my fave. Volleyball, basketball and such. Not into the badminton, tennis and such.
America has had some disappointments but some rewarding performances as well. Men gymnastics is probably the low of the meet so far. We, just as they call it "choked".
I love watching the Olympics. My favs are swimming, equestrian, gymnastics and beach volleyball,(I like watching both the mens and womens and not for their butts, for the sport in which they trained so hard.)
I find myself watching sports I never had interest in like:
Archery, water polo, synchronized diving, basketball and cycling.

I also enjoy seeing all the beautiful historic landmarks in London.

Women's indoor volleyball is good as well as swimming/diving and gymnastics

I wish they'd bring back the Tug Of War and the Rope Climb.

A few lines from the link.....

The 1900 Olympic Games in Paris hosted what was surely the weirdest and most bizarre Olympic event of all time: live pigeon shooting.

The winner was Leon de Lunden of Belgium, who bagged 21 of the 300 birds that were released to the rifle-toting competitors. Perhaps the sight of all those gory feathers fluttering down from the Olympic sky was too horrible for the audience and the organizers; the event never returned.

Finally, there was another first at the games in Paris: women were allowed to compete in a couple of events, including croquet. That competition may have been a little too unconventional for the time — only one fan bought a ticket and attended the event, and croquet has not appeared again on the Olympic roster.

Ah, my fellow perverts. The best Olympic sports for watching women are IMHO:

Swimming/diving
Volleyball - beach/indoor
Gymnastics
Track and Field
Synchronized swimming

The best rear end views tend to be with the volleyball and gymnastics.

Women's boxing has been added for the first time this year

Me too and it works out well, thats one of my wifes favorite events. She was teasing me that they weren't going to be wearing there normal bikini garb 'cause of the weather. Womens gymnastics is pretty cool too. Its' pretty nerve racking to watch when they perform on the balance beam, looks so difficult(and dangerous) some of the stuff the do on that thing, b ut they sure are graceful.

To answer the OP, wife has been watching pretty closely, I've been watching in bits and pieces just 'cause its' on in the same room.
