Sis and I are staying at South Point for one night because we want to visit an new casino. $49 a night sounded good until I noticed that they also charge an extra $20 per person so now it is $69 plus tax. The rest of our week in LV is comped at Orleans and Paris, so we will stay there anyway.

I've had similar thoughts abouth SouthPoint. A few years ago, they were giving great deals to stay a few nights, mid-week. Lately, though, not so much. It's like they don't understand that they must lose sometimes if they want to win.
