Panhandler Caught Driving Expensive Car Is Confronted by Furious Man Who Gave Her Money

Link

I was getting gas at a service station near Oakland International Airport. A female panhandler approached me for money. I gave her a buck. She then comes back a few minutes later with a gas can and asks if I will buy her a gallon of gas. I told her "no". As I'm pulling out of the gas station there is a new black Cadillac Escalade in front of me. It didn't even have license plates yet but had the car dealer's name. I look at the driver and realize it was the woman who was panhandling. I honked and she flipped me off.
You should be glad you didn't get shanked in Oakland
I hope the IRS catches up with her.
It's OK because she has a panhandler permit? or so say her grandkids? No shit I hope the IRS catches up with her.

This isn't a new thing. Either give 'em a handout and live with it, or don't do it.

Give to the needy, not the greedy.

Goodwill, Salvation Army, Rescue Mission, Food Banks, charities, churches--they get scammed too, but the money isn't going straight to drugs, and they do help people and families in need.

Our church gets hit up all the time.
- We would give small cash handouts. Word spread and their friends came from afar.
- One frequent-flyer stalked the pastor. He'd given her $5 several times but started turning her down. She followed him home.
- We changed to grocery store gift cards ($10-25). Found out those got cashed for cash (about 60% of value) at places that do that.
- We tried gas vouchers, but the gas stations quit participating. Too many problems caused by the scammers.

Now we put our money toward programs to assist our own who have fallen on hard times (sickness, lose their jobs, etc.). Gives us control over the money and how it is spent. We do meal packs for grade school kids who don't get a decent meal all weekend. (School provides a meal on school days.) We do a weekly program for seniors in the community as well as our members-a hot meal, card games, fellowship, etc. We are not a wealthy church, can't throw good money after bad.

These are good strategies. You could also pay down a Macy's credit card. But do it directly, not with cash.

They spend it on booze and people complain.
They save their nickels, dimes, and dollars and buy a car and people complain. Just no pleasing everyone.

If they have a Macy's credit card, they need to hit up Snidely for assistance. LOL

Right after we pay off Mrs Snidely's Macy*s card.
I have read in the past about how some people use panhandling as a second job.Have a fulltime day job,go home and change, then go out begging.
