Pens Flyers brawl

Well the pens laid the wood on 'em tonight. 10-4. Wow, evry one of there games so far has been a goalfest. Pens can beat them if they can keep the flyers from getting under there skin and losing focus on playing. It would be pretty cool to see this thing go to 7 games and I actually think it might be possible with the way they played tonight. Head back to pitt now for next 2 games, sweet.

Not quite - the last 3 games of the Best of Seven series always alternate. Next game is Friday in Pittsburgh, Game 6 would be Sunday in Philly and Game 7 would be Tuesday in Pittsburgh again.

Should be fun to watch, but at this rate neither team is looking like a contender for the cup. Goaltending on both sides is beyond brutal and that only works if both teams have the same problem - which they do!
Sorry to say, I don't see my beloved Flyers in the Cup final, nor do I see Pittsburgh there. But I'll still keep wearing my Flyers jersey for now, if only just to irritate all the hometown Canuck fans I have to put up with!

I stand corrected sir, thank you pointing out my mistake.
I belive your pretty accurate on your predictions also. I highly doubt either will make it to the final series, it would be cool to see the pens make it, but there defense is not only pretty bad it downright sucks. I would like to see a few more games between the two, talk about some high energy hockey being played.

It's unfortunate that the most high energy hockey we're going to see is in the first round. I just don't see that from any of the potential final rounders. Pathetic goaltending & defense aside, it's fun watching the 70's/80's old style hockey with the solid hits, end to end rushes, and just constant action. Hopefully the finals won't be a snorefest akin to the NJ/Fla series. OMG, that is some truly boring hockey!! Anyway, I'll enjoy it while I can!
BTW - Hubby says I definitely shouldn't be addressed as sir - even though I do tend to swear like a trucker at my Flyers goalies each time they prove they couldn't stop a beachball from getting to the back of the net!!

I stand corrected once again..mmm..er..ma'am? I haven't really caught much hockey at all for the past few years and really haven't watched but a few pens games this year. I had the center ice package many years ago but that got kinda expensive with paying for sunday ticket as well, so hockey got the axe. I'm gonna try and watch some of the rest of the playoffs, definitely whoever goes on from this series. I'm not even sure who all is in the playoffs this year except for a handful of teams so not even sure who I will root for. Wait a minute, what am I saying? ,the pens are going all the way mama! OOPS? ummm..ma'am?

JOHN
The Flyers were huge underdogs going into this series while the Penguins were 7-2 favorites to capture the cup. Philly has 7 good rookies, best power play, and is a scoring machine.
They also have the best road record in hockey, and have never lost a series while leading 2-0. The Flyers will eliminate pittsburg, then tighten up their defense as one of their
best defensemen returns in the next round ( Andres Mezarus )

Boston has lost last year's playoff star ( Nathan Horton this year due to injury ), and are not as hungry as they won last year.
NY Rangers are having trouble beating Ottawa, so the Flyers look like a solid bet to go back to the finals for the 2nd time in 3 years.
If your looking to make some $$$, then lay it on the Flyers , and you can't go wrong.
Where in the hell is Nessie in all this? He's the resident hockey expert around here.
Nessie is on his way to LVH to load up on the Flyers.

Nessie's bummed because the Maple Leafs didn't make the playoffs.AGAIN.

...and so it goes back to Philly then. A pretty good game tonight, we enjoyed it.
