However, DonDiego's brief research on the subject does not support such an outright conspiracy on this matter.
What it does reveal is that some news outlets, f'rinstance the Newark Star-Ledger, have a policy "to censor race in crime stories." It would seem that Chilcoot and DonDiego agree this would be poor journalistic policy, if it were the LVRJ policy.

note i. Definition: coy, showing reluctance, . . . to reveal one's, . . . opinions, make a commitment, or take a stand.
Sometimes being coy encourages others to reveal their opinions, biases, prejudices more openly and personally than if they were responding to a straightforward objective statement.
That's a lot of words.

I wish you had simply said what you meant: that the RJ screwed up in failing to report that police believe the at-large shooter was black.

Please just say what you mean.

You had an interesting point to make, you just lacked the courage to say it.

You know that raising the subject of race here often generates criticism from people who want to pretend this is a race-neutral society. So you danced around in hopes that one of our duller resident posters would do your dirty work in a inflammatory and stupid way. Why?

I have to believe you're braver than that. Say what you mean, it's a discussion worth having.

Chilcoot ascribes a more nefarious motive to poor old DonDiego than DonDiego possesses.

Actually DonDiego's post accomplished more than he'd hoped.
It drew an unpleasant response from Number51, . . . suggesting underhanded dealings by the liberal media and Obama, . . . something DonDiego had not mentioned.
And now Chilcoot has made up an imaginary, . . . and counterfactual, . . . motive for DonDiego posting.

DonDiego loves when a thread comes together like this.

Sometimes being coy is just annoying and disingenuous.

I thought the video of a black guy, was a strong indication the guy was black.

I guess it's more fun to be coy than honest when discussing race.
