Possible name change for the Quad?

Vegaschatter.com is reporting that there may be another name change for the casino formally named Imperial Palace.

Story below:

Rumors swirl about the Quad
The IP was a fun place (casino).
Just the name Quad is a turn off.
Vegas just can't seem to leave a good thing alone.
i agree lets go back to the IP
Your right, I couldn't stand the name The Quad,
It really didn't have any symbalization with anything !

I suggest calling it “The Flophouse” that way they wouldn’t have to spend the money to renovate the rooms it could be part of the theme.
It started out as the Flamingo Capri Motel in 1959. It was a Friendship Inns of America affiliate. A casino was added to the motel, I'm not sure exactly when. The earliest chips I can find from the place were made some time in the early 1970's.

The Flamingo Capri became a Best Western affiliate in the 1970's and they built their first hotel tower addition. That tower was known as the Imperial Palace, but the casino/hotel was still known as the Flamingo Capri through 1979. The original Flamingo Capri motel rooms remained a part of the property until the remodel and renaming of the Imperial Palace to the Quad began. You could still reserve one of the old motel rooms up until then. Those rooms were known as Capri rooms. Now you know why!

....maybe they could reach way back into the history of the property and rename it the Capri.
Do they still have the "tribute" dealers who resemble "stars"??
I like the name Capri, sounds like a cool throwback name.

Thanks for the history BobOrme

Love that stuff.

Name it: Asian Spice
I was surprised they named it the Quad.. When they went by Imperial Palace they had a huge Asian
customer based.

I may be wrong, but isn't the number 4 supposed to be bad luck in Asian culture as it relates to death..

Seems they would alienate a large number of customers by naming the place QUAD ??
