Prominent Poker Pro Leaves $300,000 in Taxi!

I've heard of "over tipping", but this is ridiculous!

Just heard on the news that a LV Poker Pro left $300,000 in a taxi cab yesterday. Lucky for him, the cab driver returned the money and received a $1,000 reward. The news wouldn't mention who the poker pro was and wouldn't show his face on the news!

I'm hearing the $1,000 reward was given to him by the cab company itself.

No word....yet, on how much reward the poker player himself actually gave the cabbie.

Does anybody out there in LVA land have any idea who this player is ????

This honest cab driver should have gotten at least a 10% "finders fee". Secondly, just how does one "forget" $300,000 in cash? I think that there is more to this story.....

Believe it or not, a lot of high rollers.....especially poker players walk around with that kind of money. Why they don't leave it in a casino safe deposit box is beyond me. That WSOP champ that wears those multi colored glasses was attacked outside his room at the Bellaggio. He wound up fighting them off and they didn't get anything.

I can see leaving you kid in the cab.... but $300K ????

Turns out it's one of the younger poker pros. 26 years old! Must be nice!

The best poker players are psychotic; it's not a game for normals.

But there may be a rational reason he left the cash in the cab. He may have thought it was safest there. The best players seem to have a sixth sense about good and bad situations.

The AP has reported the poker player gave the cabbie a 10K reward.

I still say he should have rewarded the taxi driver 10%, which is $30,000. The poker player is just a cheapskate in my book,for he could have been out 100% which is $300,000.

I don't think that most people would have given the cab driver more than $10,000. That's a pretty generous tip in my opinion.
