It used to be standard procedure to eat your enemies after you've killed them.

That was a long time ago. Nowadays, after you've offed someone, it's much easier just to go order a Combo Meal at the drive-thru.

And pay for it by swiping your

Ebt card.

Stay stupid,
keep electing Democrats
alanleroyll...you made me really laugh and laugh this morning reading your short input to this ridiculous conversation. "We should just eat them." Perfect.

I chose a wood chipper because the electric chair, death by injection, firing squad or hanging are, in my opinion, to quick and painless for real justice to be meted out for these murderers. They should suffer a slow and painful death. By doing so, many would feel that at least some justice had been administered. By the way,you haven't yet seen an "anger filled tirade" from me. I am just calmly stating my true feelings about dealing with these murderers. Have a nice day.

I prefer public stoning with the sheet over their head. That way they don't know when the next stone is coming. I have on two different occasions seen man vs. wood chipper. Although very gruesome it it also much too quick if you are looking for a slow, terrifying way to execute someone. As far as gunning down somebody in the act of a capital crime or rape etc I could do it in a heartbeat. I always say it would be much easier to break into my home than to get out if I am home when you break in.

I believe sure swift justice is a deterrent to crime and it should be public to instill fear in the future offenders. If you don't believe it is a deterrent, so be it, anyone who commits one of these heinous crimes doesn't deserve to share the earth with me.

Now if it is a rape of a child or a bombing such as Boston, or one of those fruitcakes that rapes a five year old I could go along with putting him or her in the wood chipper but turn it off a couple of times to prolong the event.

I guess I am more of an old testament guy when it comes to people that physically hurt other innocent people.

I also believe are drug laws are useless. We need to admit we have lost the war on drugs. Putting users in prison is a waste of time and money.

It really pisses me off when we clothe and feed some dirt-bag like Charles Manson or Richard Speck for all of these years.

I will leave you with this one story. Years ago I ran a call where the clerk at a mini mart was held up by a thug who had a hammer. Although the clerk cooperated with the thug the dirt bag buried the hammer in the clerks head. The clerk is now a vegetable with a wife and two young daughters. Tell me the wood chipper is cruel. I don"t think so.

Don Diego- I advocate the use of the wood chopper for 2 reasons-1) it will allow the murderer an opportunity to appreciate the pain he has administered to the victims of his murders, and 2) if this type of "justice" was known to be administered, I believe it would be a deterrent to those who willfully murder. I don't call this type of punishment " torture" I call it " justice". I also feel this type of punishment should be a national law, one that trumps state laws. No more life in prison, no more insanity pleas.Anyone who commits these types of murder deserves no mercy.
DonDiego thanks drmilled for his detailed explanation.

What drmilled proposes is unconstitutional, regardless of his use of the words "justice". And besides, DonDiego doesn't much care for national laws that trump state laws; he prefers a strong federal system to a strong central government.

(n.b.DonDiego does have difficulty with the "insanity plea" defense; he proposes one plea "guilty by reason of insanity" not "innocent", and allow consideration of one's mental state in the penalty phase of the trial.)

I agree DD. I like a diverse nation if want to live in a wood chipper state so be it. If somebody wanst to live in a life without parole state so be it.

Well, now that one is dead and the other is in a hospital, at the public's expense, the blame game has started. Now the public, and PJ, want to question the living murderer and ask "why did you set of the bombs" or other inane questions. What difference does it make why they did what they did? People are dead, families suffering, a city trying to recover- meanwhile the ACLU and the liberals are screaming "foul" because this murdering animal was not read his Miranda rights. Are you kidding me? Miranda rights? He and his dead brother abdicated their "Miranda rights" when they set off the bombs. This animal should have been on his way to the (pick one) firing squad, hangman, gas chamber, lethal injection lounge, electric chair or my favorite, the wood chipper yesterday. He has no right to draw another breath. There is no sane reason the nurse this murderer back to health. He deserves to die- no if's and's or but's.
"There is no sane reason the nurse this murderer back to health. He deserves to die- no if's and's or but's. "

By keeping him alive we can find out who else was involved & what other threats are out there. Rather than executing him and making him a martyr we are better off locking him up
hoops2- though I seen the validity of what you say, that premise has been utilized before with few results. These murderers have utilized this avenue to prolong their useless lives while the victims of their murders have remained dead. These murderers do not deserve to draw another breath.

Like discovering the location of Osama Bin-Laden, for example. Actually some of those interrogations got pretty rough. Doc - you should go see "Zero Dark Thirty" - just bring some tissues so you can clean up after yourself after squeezing one out on the seat in front of you.
Seriously ?!?! "Rights" ? He didn't worry about anybody's "Rights" at the marathon finish line. Why should we worry about his. Keep the little prick alive until satisfied you have any/all the info you can extract. Feel free to use use torture to get info. (Apparently they were Ok with "torture" - just ask any of the victims). Then when there is no more useful info to be had...read him his "Carmen Miranda" Rights.

Pile fruit on his head 'til his neck breaks !!
Seems fair ?!?!
