Richie Incognito is he a Bully?

I believe USAToday's website has a clip of Antonio Smith ripping off Incognito's helmet and swinging it at his face. And actually making contact, albeit mostly to his upper chest.

Maybe. foul language warning
Some people are just unpleasant, . . . or even mean-spirited. Even on the internets!

It does seem that Mr. Incognito has been sufficiently overbearing to fit the definition of a Bully. DonDiego has read things like he also intimidated the 2nd-year defenseman to actually pay him money for trips, or some such thing. Perhaps he crossed the line from "bully" to criminal behavior.

He may soon have to travel incognito and assume a low profile outside of football, . . . in real life.

My guess: He has already hired a PR firm and unless something else that is worse comes out he will make a dramatic public apology, admit he needs help, go to some token therapy, and by the start of next season he will be employed in the NFL again.

Wouldn't surprise me. Although if teams passed him up in the draft and has been released so many times, maybe not?

I am starting to having an evolution of thought on this. The latest reporting seems to indicate Incognito was instructed by the coaching staff to toughen Martin up.

So pity the poor hitman?

"I didn't want to shoot that judge. It's just that I work for the mob and they pay me a lot of money to kill people. What was I supposed to do?"

C'mon . . . .
While it is becoming apparent that Icognito is a thug, that as an adult Martin could have handled it better instead of running home to mommy.

If he returns to the NFL he will get lots of verbal taunting from opposing defenses
Here is how I am starting to see it: Incognito was well liked in Miami so much so they featured him in videos on fan behavior and made him a team leader. He was the enforcer for the offensive line, but he was given that position by the management who knew about his prior reputation of excess. So while I don't think he is a great human being by any means it seems to be more of a management problem.

Keep in mind this is the same management that asked Dez Bryant in a pre-draft interview if his mother was a prostitute. In any event management put a mean and ornery asshole in charge of toughening up Martin so IMO at the very least they should be suspended as well.

Right now the guys that ordered the hit are getting a free pass.
