If I was asked which strip casino would close this year the Riviera would be top of my list. Huge place so huge overheads. I have never seen a place cutback so much. The players club is run from the cashiers cage, the check in has moved to god knows where and they have cut back on servers so much I actually go to McDonalds for a coffee.

The Banana Leaf restaurant must be "Worst of Las Vegas".It is like Fawlty Towers. The Queen Vic is the only place that the staff seem motivated.

So don't drop $1k there and expect it to be there in one months time.

Wow, even if you get only half back that is not a bad deal. Did the like deal at Trop which limited you to $200. First time girlfriend signed up and we won $500. Next time I signed up and we lost $200 then got $100 in play which we worked up to $150 and I still have the other $100 waiting for me there on our July trip. Will have to try the Riv deal if they are still there.
I'm confused with their following term ........ "of your tier rated slot loss".

Rick
Each "tier" is at a $100 mark.
i.e. You lose $300..you get back $150 the 1st day.
You lose $399...you get back $150 the first day.
You lose $400 ...you get back $200 the 1st day.
etc., etc.
Might have to try this one if I ever get back to Vegas. One of the few slot clubs I've never joined. When I used to play there, it was when I was going on the "up and backs" from LAX. But at that time, they never had a slot club and just rated your play at BJ! I guess it couldn't hurt unless they close before you can redeem your offer.

Three or four years ago, I would have agreed. The old ownership/management had chased away some lucrative convention business, the staff was not in good spirits by any measure, and the casino floor was dead most of the time. The changes made over the last two years with new ownership and management have really turned the place around.
