southwest airlines question

I have never, and will never, insist on a seat that someone is saving for their fellow traveler.

But, each to his own.

I never have either. And I've never 'saved' a seat for anyone. But if I did save a seat for...say my wife and some yahoo insisted on taking it even though she was right behind him, then I might just make that flight pretty miserable for that person. I can fart on demand.

This is exactly what happens when we partake of too many left-over drinks.....

I am a non-confrontational person by nature, plus I wouldn't want to keep spouses from sitting together.

Lol at a reason not to change my disposition in the future. Hilarious!
Without addressing any individual post, I'll summarize my viewpoint:

1) What airport is it where people don't understand the concept of lining up in order or are too inconsiderate or clueless to do so? Every time I fly out of Houston Hobby, people seem to understand the process quite well. I'll find my spot and help people if they need to find their position either in front or behind of me.

2) I don't care if people are saving a seat provided it is a middle seat on a non-exit row. I'm not a fan of people cutting in line either but the middle seat rule should apply if the person is cutting to be with their significant other. For the person who cut from B-42 to B-6, taking a middle seat makes that acceptable since it's unlikely people desire middle seats.

3) Saving any seat in an exit row should not be allowed. Some people will pay for the EB boarding for the chance at landing one of those seats. A tall person like myself might consider choosing a middle exit row seat if the aisle and window people aren't large. That's not too likely for me since I prefer an aisle seat but I would like to have that option.

4) Anyone who can fart on demand like alanleroyII is my hero.
Southwests policy is just stupid...assign seats, problem solved. I used Southwest in August to fly from Hartford to Vegas. We payed the extra $12.50 per seat and we got A48 and 49. On the way back we got 59 and 60..out of 60 REally?? Anyway, it worked out fine. However, just makes me laugh that I paid my fee early and still got the end of the rainbow. Going to interesting next week when we head to florida for a wedding.
I think that it's a great program.

Passengers meeting certain frequent flier criteria are in front of those paying $12.50.

I just wonder if any of you here complaining are ever happy...
Never fly SW. However, the whole policy seems stupid to me IMO.
