Street "Performers" and Water "Sellers"

Concerning the street performers costumes, yes some are expensive however I have seen that some of them are basically shared by several "performers" as have seem them changing over.

My suggestion though to bring control over some of this is to require licensing of some sort. As has been pointed out "amateur" night at the strip clubs is not by amateurs due to the licensing requirements. Why not do something similar and require a vendors and/or performers licensing program?
What is the problem?
Busking is the world's second oldest profession.
I'm more concerned with the drastic increase in panhandlers on the strip.

It used to be fine. Most of the street performers were stripppers or dancers or bartenders getting some extra money on their day off. They put effort into their costumes and appearance. Now it seems about half of the "performers" are railroad bums that bought a cheap costume at Wal*Mart. There's a SpiderMan on Fremont St that looks like he had a bad night of drinking a few months ago....and barfed all over his outfit...and has been wearing it (unwashed) ever since.
I liked these colorful people. I don't usually give any money to the costume people but I buy the water from the water sellers on the strip. Ice cold water, $1
If people did not give these freeloaders money, they would go away - problem solved.
But where would I get my ice cold water for only a buck with no line to wait in? I appreciate their service.

Freeloaders are panhandlers or people living on the dole. Street Performers are working. Surely you understand the difference. You may not like it and may not give them money, but others obviously do and that's really none of your business.

alanleroyII- What is or isn't "my business" is none of your business. Most of the "street performers" are freeloaders who gravitate to any place where they know people will give them money - what they are doing is not an example of "working".
