When I was a youngster an uncle raised Percherons for driving and pulling competitions. There was a big show in Vegas back then. The Budweiser team was at a couple of the competitions I got to attend. They always won their class. Of course my memory is that there was never any competition in the eight horse/four team.
My uncle competed in show, six horse/three team and four horse pull. I always thought it was unfair to make a Percheron or Belgian compete against a Clydesdale in show.
