A Tad Tardy On The IBTD

Tried to leave a "IBTD" message on a thread that was getting testy......and I got something on the lines of a "Error 103" message.

Thread was MIA when I got back to the FFA home page

DonDiego observed someone insulting a Canadian on that thread. Apparently that is unacceptable behavior.

DonDiego awaits the arrival of an Italian poster; those bastards made an alliance with Hitler !

I think it was more a canadian with a holier than thou attitude sticking his nose and making snide comments on an american issue that caused the problems.

This has happenned on LVA a number of times, I wish that the mods would moderate this board better and keep the trash talking and bring more civility to this board. btw, what happenned to cootie? haven't seen him/her as she/he normally is one of the first ones to make the snide comments.

I would really like to see thingskept in a civilized manner, I enjoy being able totalk a bit. I think its been a rather pleasant experience and hasntgotten "too wild" as we ve talked fairly casually amongst ourselves. Theres certainly been a few who have seemed to have ben the catalyst for things spiraling out of control and I dont see. I guess thats a good thing.

I want to encourage everyone to keep talking in a civilized manner, remember this is ACs sandbox and I think he might us keep playing if we are cool about. I wouldventure to guess he wouldnt like seeing the entire first page filled with ot pol threads either.

Oh and sorry i mised what our friends from the north said, I for one welcomed what they all had to say the other night to us. I kne what it was anyway, but nice tohear first hand how their experiences were,and there were several couples from several different parts of canada onboard.

Lately we have let you guys post POL threads and things have been ok but this means we must monitor the forums more and when one gets out of hand (IBTD) it will instantly be closed and deleted.

You are correct. It was me who decided to stand up for america against a person who was making snide remarks towards america. I understand americans commenting on american issues but I don't appreciate it when (in this case) a canadian starts up with a holier than thou attitude and sticking his nose and continue to make snide comments and insulting us. I do not understand why you would let someone continually insult americans in general, this is an american problem and while other countries can comment on the issue I don't feel it is right when non american starts telling americans to start looking at themselves in the mirror and continually insult us.

I worked for a canadian company and worked along side many canadiens over a decade ago. I found all to be cordial and respectful about other countries. Many understood what is going on in america and the issues americans face and while they may shake their heads they understand that america has to make their own decisions and suffer the consequences. they were respectful of what was going on. unfortunately pearlguy was disrespectful, confinually insulting america, making snide remarks and making comments about the current issue and acting with a holier than thou attitude about his southern neighbors.

Just look at the posts lately, you mention civility and all I see is nonsense and noncivility. I number of these threads IMHO should be shut down as they are worthless and meaningless and should be sent to other sites where these discussions and bantering should occur. This is a vegas free for all board, unfortunately most of the postings here are all non vegas related. I don't even know why they call it a vegas free for all anymore since the majority of posts are all non vegas related. On many other boards LVA has been discussed about how out of hand it has gotten and what a joke of a board it is turning out to be. You want to talk about civility, how about keeping the board on track with vegas issues, getting rid of the POL threads and either warn or get rid of the trouble makers that keep bantering with worthless nonsense that are only meant to cause trouble. A number of meaningful threads have been hijacked and rendered useless.

I don't even know why you allow POL threads, that means that you have to spend time checking all threads to make sure they remain civil. I liked the zero tolerance attitude the board had previously, it kept the POL issues out and the board was much more civil and focused.

Everyone has their own agenda there will never be a time when everyone is happy. We'll have defined rules when we go to the new message boards. As for now, the rule is to keep the language and insults in check. I don't care if it's a marauding martian posting his opinions, the one who will get zapped is the one who starts slinging the profanity.

Just let it go my friend,pick you battles. While that one seemed worthy to you, its not enough to kill everything. Come backwith something else,the board is much better place for it,no matterhow strongly you feel.

Trust me, Ive gottenpissed before but inthe end..its a forum onthe net,thats all.
