Taliban Terrorist / American Soldier Swap

DonDiego hopes the Dallas Cowboys give up 5 first-round draft picks for an eighty-year-old woman placekicker, . . . preferably one-legged.
While I suspect that Bergdahl is a deserter, I've not heard the opinion of others from his platoon. I admit to be quite ignorant to the size of all platoons, but best I can tell they are substantially larger than six guys.

I'll wait to finalize my opinion.

All 5 men from Bergdahl's platoon said he was a deserter. I believe them before I believe anyone else!!!! The whole thing is a joke, I swear Obama could do genocide against anyone and you liberals would say it was justified. Keep your head in the sand! I hope the Green Bay Packers give up 5 first round draft picks for a 70 year old woman. Jeez how brain-dead can you be?

Has Obama replaced Jerry Jones as the Cowboys GM?

Speaking from first hand Army experience most platoons have 32-40 Soldiers. Squads have 8-10. I'm sure that wiki or some other source give different numbers but I'm sharing my first hand knowledge.

Other than defelcting, nobody seems able to answer this question

Still no thoughts on this boys?

Oh, I have thoughts....
It probably sends a message to our troops that
(1) we dont leave them behind in combat
(2) we dont outsource our military justice system to the Taliban

I've made my opinion clear on the terms. I didn't care of them. But then again I was not in the room. History shows similar swaps with similar (or even more one-sided) terms have been made in the past.

What efforts would Hoops have made to bring home Sgt B? Do you believe he is entitled to a trial in our military courts...or is it just ok to convict him in the court of Rupert Murdoch ...and sentence him to death at the hands of the Taliban? Help us out, Hoops. What Constitutional rights would you selectively deny to the people who go to war on behalf of our country.
Perhaps some covert and secret government organization embedded tracking devices inside those 5 "suspected" terrorists, they will be tracked and targeted by drones, and the public has not been told?

The technology does exist.

::: shrug :::

That crossed my mind..

I've never agreed with the argument that "Mistakes have been made in the past, so that excuses today's mistakes." Similarly, Obama's mistakes should never be used as an excuse for our next Republican president.

Dont tell your philosophy to Israel...
1000 to 1 trade

Hoops is good at saying what he would NOT DO. Getting him to say what he would do is a much bigger challenge. If that Taliban reject a 1 for 1 trade....would Hoops be willing to leave a US soldier behind?
