Thanksgiving in Vegas and November questions.

We are planing a trip this year for Thanksgiving week. Anything special go on that week? Other then my Birthday

Also, this will be our first time in Vegas in November. Wondering what the weather is like.
I have been there three times at Thanksgiving and I didn't notice anything too special at that time. I stayed downtown and it wasn't very crowded which I like. I may not be the ideal person to discuss the weather since I am warm-natured. With that being said, I was comfortable during the day without a jacket. Many people would probably wear a light jacket in the evening if they are planning to spend time walking outside.
Hope to see you out there then Sheltie. Depending on the year, you can get anything from nice sunshine days to torrential downpours. Usually a light jacket is all you should need, but you never know. Just check your 5 day forecast on the Weather Channel and you'll know in advance...not that they're ever wrong! LOL!
Thanks Alex and Bagiant...I was wondering if I had to dress for NJ heavy coat so nice to know the weather is not quite as cold here. Hope we get to see you too Bagiant.

I don't think you EVER need a heavy coat in Vegas. In all my years of going there, I've seen snow twice, but not in measurable amounts at all. Very rarely gets into the 30's, and when it does, I guess because of the dry humidity, it never feels that cold.

Used to watch CSI when Bill Peterson was on...remember so many shows with the actors wearing fur hooded parkas, guess the timetable was fall or winter...always got a good laugh out of that. Have been to LV quite a few times in late November, never needed a heavy coat...sweater or light jacket for the evening will suffice. Not alot going on, most restaurants have some kind of Thanksgiving dinner on the menu.

It can be sunny and in the 70s or in the 50s with wind and rain.
Plan on making a reservation at one of the restaurants for your Thanksgiving dinner. The lines for the buffets are ridiculously long...like a 2-3 hour wait at some places. We ate at Mon Ami Gabi two years ago; had their fixed price Thanksgiving dinner menu....turkey with all the trimmings. Temps were in the 50-s in town when we were there; and very windy. We tried to do some hiking at Red Rock Canyon...temp was 43 degrees; didn't have a hat or gloves, so gave up on that idea.

Glasses can affect your vision; especially when they have been emptied several times......

Spring Break 2000 !!!

We go every November and the day temps are usually in the 60's or 70's. It's a great time to do outdoor activities - the Neon Boneyard, for example. It can get chilly at night.
