There you go conservatives: Obamacare is failing

That sounds an awful lot like "pulling the plug on grandma"

As a country we don't believe in doing that, but the cost to continue that is very high

Hoops sometimes you're so on spot it amazes me. What some of you fail to get is when someone with preexisting conditions looks at policies they have to look at the maximum out of pocket yearly because in addition to paying the premiums they are going to have to pay that every year too. I am not eligible for any subsidy because my new wife's new employer technically offers me insurance even though it would require roughly an additional $1000 a month held out of her pay as her employer doesn't pay any portion of the spousal premium. The good news is my wife wife's preexisting medial issues will be covered by her insurance come Jan 1st. My youngest daughter has coverage under that plan. My middle daughter (24) was also able to get coverage under my wife's plan for a fee) So what we are trying to avoid is to collectively paying out about 30-35k each and every year in premiums, coinsurance, co-pays, out of network fees, non-covered meds because they are "experimental" and fees the insurance company deems not usual and customary. As you might guess trying to get by on roughly 65k a year when 30-35k comes out off the top for medical every year is a little rough.

And yes Obama didn't keep his promise the polices are not affordable and there is no competition on the exchange. Hell why not just send me to the Anthem Blue Cross site to shop for polices they are the only company offering policies? It would have saved the taxpayers money and it was already working.
And in other news: "Over the next few years, the government is expected to spend billions of dollars less than originally projected on the law..."

That is an easy one to figure out without even reading the article.
1. 25 states didn't accept the Medicaid Expansion so the cost should be a lot less than if all 50 did.
2. The private side is going to cost less because hardly anybody is signing up for those crappy plans.
You do realize what we are going to be looking at by 2015-2016 if current trends continue is less people being insured under Obamacare than there were under the old system breaking another of O's promises I might add. Right now we aren't even keeping pace with private plan cancellations.

AN OBAMACARE SUCCESS STORY FROM NEVADA

Dateline: Mound House, Nevada

"President Barack Obama has at least one segment of America behind his health care law: the legalized prostitutes at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch. [Just outside Carson City, NV - DD]
Caressa Kisses said that insurance providers equated them to illegal prostitutes who have sexually transmitted diseases. 'We’re independent contractors. We have to get our own insurance but this is truly a blessing,' Kisses told KRNV.

Brothel owner Dennis Hof, though, does not back Obamacare. He’s worried he might have to provide health care coverage to his employees at his brothels and strip club. 'What am I going to do? I’m either going to have to spend a lot of money on health insurance because the rates are going up or I’m going to have to face severe penalties, so I’m really perplexed about all of this,' Hof told KRNV."

So an unsubsidized Obamacare gold plan would only save you only $6,000 a year over going on your wife's employer plan. Poor baby.

Dude I'd also have two deductibles to satisfy and 6k more in out of pocket costs. If you factor that in I wouldn't save anything.

The math of it is $6,012 in premiums a year plus $6,000 in out of pocket for a total of 12,012 in costs on Obama Gold.
Here is what I found :

The latest Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services report [PDF] says that “Obamacare” will lead to “roughly $621 billion” in additional health spending over the next ten years. But that emphatically does not mean that you, me, and the other two members of our typical family will be paying this money out of pocket. Most of it will be paid out by insurance companies, who will have a whole bunch of new policyholders because of Obamacare. Much of it will be paid by the government in subsidies and increased Medicaid enrollment. And yes, some of it will be paid by healthy (for now), well-off (for now) young (for now!) people who would otherwise forgo insurance and roll the dice on not ever being carted to the hospital in an ambulance” (emphasis added).

“Don’t worry. Families won’t have to pay the tab. We’ll stick it to greedy insurance companies or Uncle Sam will cover it. No problem!” But of course, we can be pretty certain that insurance companies (especially if they are greedy!) are unlikely to be paying for any tab without turning around and passing that cost along to (gasp!) American families. Similarly, Uncle Sam has nowhere else but American families to keep replenishing tax coffers. In short, American families manifestly WILL be absorbing every single penny of the $621B in added health spending created by Obamacare and it is intellectually disingenuous (and certainly no contribution to informed public debate) to pretend otherwise.
