The Third Wave

The third wave:
Desperate people wait in line in NY to get vital supplies....here they are lined up at the Apple Store for the new Ipad Mini.

And breaking news....a Fourth Wave is upon us. A man with a suspected high ratio of melanin pigment has robbed a liquor store on the lower east side. Run for your lives !
Not funny, as over 1 million people have no power, temperature in the 40's and dropping. People are waiting 2 hours for a bus.

I find it hard to beleive that they're going ahead with the marathon. People's priorities have become so F'd up anymore, I'm kinda numb to it. I still shake my head inj disbelief sometimes but not nearly as much as I used to, and THAT, scares the hell outta me.

And they have 2 large generators sitting at the Marathon start for their disposal!
I have also heard that motels are eviciting some of the locals who needed rooms to stay warm for reserved rooms for the marathon participants and families.
They needed to call this race off, PERIOD end of story!

The motels needed to call the out of towners who made reservations and explain the dire need for the rooms for the folks who are basically without needed services.

The primary sponsor of the marathon is ING, and if they say to cancel, it gets cancelled. If they go through with this, I'd never do business with them.

UPDATE (Seven minutes later): The marathon has been cancelled. I never imagined I was so influential.

ZING!!!!!!!!
Ooohhhh good burn!

I see what you did there, you took his sarcastic, self deprecating comment and watched it sail over your head.

How's the neck feel?

An investigation showed that there were more than 40 generators scattered around the city reserved for the marathon. In addition there were over 50,000 sandwiches, thousands of cases of water & a Saturday night pasta dinner for the 50,000 runners.

Meanwhile hundreds of thousands are without power & heat. Thousands of others don't have access to food and water.

As it was said at the end of the Bridge over the River Kwai - "lunacy, sheer lunacy"
