It is a sci-fi western - kinda like Wild Wild West. A ship with a preacher, a doctor, and an "escort".

In 2012, Entertainment Weekly listed the show at No. 11 in the "25 Best Cult TV Shows from the Past 25 Years," commenting, "as it often does, martyrdom has only enhanced its legend."
Just finished watching Firefly. Very good series. I would have watched the future seasons to find out how they resolved some of the sexual tensions portrayed in the first and only season. I think they did resolve some in the movie Serenity, but I think additional seasons would have been more interesting.
