Transparency

So PJ has no thoughts why more folks are coming across the boarder?

Congressman Jim Bridenstine is encouraging members of the media to reject the limitations proposed by HHS. “The idea of no recording devices, no questions, and no interactions is not acceptable. This violates the 1st Amendment. This is not transparent. HHS is trying to muzzle the media and hide the human tragedy that has resulted directly from the Administration’s failure to enforce the law.”

People with agendas are not reporters and the Congressman's agenda is clear: Both he and DonDiego don't mind exploiting children to make a bogus political point that children are fleeing oppression because of Obama. I'm happy to disagree with their conclusion and their desire for exploitation porn ... I suspect the children's parents are happy to disagree too.

Congressman Bridenstein = Barack Obama.
Thank you, DonDiego.

I suspect they are protecting the privacy and annonymity of the children. Its generally a well respected rule the press does not interact with children without parental consent...especially children who are victims of crime or other oppression.

Thats why, for example, you dont see pictures floating around on the internet of the girl who was stabbed 19 times in Wisconsin by her friends...story

I'm curious to know what "transparency" DonDiego is after. The number of children and photos of the facility are provided. Does DonDiego want James O'Keefe slapping a microphone into the face of an 8 year old without his mother's consent?

The American media can go just about anywhere in the world, interview, photograph and video record children (and the adults caring for them) affected by all manners of the human condition...
Wanna bet?

Try this: stop by an elementary school and tell them you want to take pictures and interview the children, without the consent of the school or the parents. Or go to a jail and make a similar request. You can't do it, and neither can a reporter from the New York Times or a United States Congressman. Nor should they.

Okay DD.....we get it. You dislike Obama.

But, I'M HERE TO HELP !

Instead of using clever thread titles to thinly disguise your supposed hate for YOUR president, I suggest this: Start your thread titles with the obvious.

Such as........if you are starting your usual thread against Obama......title the 1st one like this:

I AM A SHEEP AND I HATE OBAMA......Part 1.

If your working on, let's say, the 18th installment of your Huckabee style praise for the 44th president, you can title it as follows:

I AM A SHEEP AND I HATE OBAMA......Part 18.

Of course, on the rare occasion you do start a thread about tomatoes, or wildlife in Appalachia, or (gasp) Las Vegas........no need to follow my suggestions on thread titles.

You can thank me later. Remember.....I'm here to help !

Off-topic question that you might know the answer to. Does there exist a GM make/model car that hasn't been recalled?

When you've lost Andrea Mitchell you've lost the country. I'm more convinced than ever Obama wasn't even a good community organizer back in the day. Beyond his oratory his skills are too minimal to be successful. Combine that with his awful character and you end up with the US and the world going to pot.

38 journalism groups accuse President Obama of politically driven suppression of news..

"Mr. President,

You recently expressed concern that frustration in the country is breeding cynicism about democratic government. You need look no further than your own administration for a major source of that frustration – politically driven suppression of news and information about federal agencies."

Nothing like a little Transparency to let the light shine in.

Oh I agree! That's just one more thing that shows that Barack Obama is no liberal.

Of course Obama is the president who supports Mitt Romney's and Bob Dole's health plan, Reagan's marginal tax rate, Bush's immigration reform, McCain's election finance reform, and a voter's rights act that last time was supported unanimously by the Republicans in the Senate. So - big surprise - his policy regarding openness and transparency is similarly moderate.

But when it comes to transparency, he's a lot better than the last guy.
