The Truth

It is unheard of the party in the White House winning in that state in an off election year. The point spread was small 2.5% because Democrats stayed home. They knew he had it in the bag.
Chris Christie is hated by the grass roots of his party and that is why he won and is popular.

Really? What did I say? It doesn't have to be exact, how about just paraphrasing it? Or what thread was it in? Let me guess, you don't have time to respond, right?

Of course I said no such thing. So jatki, why don't you correct the record?

I heard the same exact excuse from that wretched Gretchen Carlson on the FoxBox.

"just another week and he would have won"

What was happening in a week? Was Virginia enacting another voter suppression law or something?

He damn sure insisted it start when it did. He shut down other parts of the government to make that happen.
I hope there are enough people who believe the sort of crap BobOrme does to prevent the Republicans from getting their act together and again becoming a viable national party. Reality-based Americans realize that the government shutdown was the GOP's plan. Hell, they bragged about it, proudly took credit for it.

The Republicans in the House voted, en masse, for resolutions they knew would never become law because they wanted to shut down the government. Then, once the shutdown began, they bragged about the stoppage, and openly admitted that they were responsible. The crisis was resolved when Republicans gave in.

I can't begin to imagine how this isn't obvious to BobOrme and his ilk, but I'm thankful for it. I just hope there's enough BobOrmes in the GOP that it maintains its current trajectory.

The House of Representatives cannot unilaterally issue any order that would furlough government employees. Obama did it on his own. HE said HE would do it, as only HE could.

HE and Senate Democrats had been planning it for months. Government procurement procedures take months, if not years, to make it through the pipeline for simple contracts. The 3'x4' shutdown signs and Barrycades were rolled out within 8 hours of the shutdown all over the country. Every target that Obama chose for the shutdown had the equipment and personnel to put it into place on the next work shift. There hadn't been a government shutdown in 17 years, but Obama had signs ready to hang at national parks and monuments countrywide in less than one day. HE did it to try to soil the opposition to his disastrous signature healthcare legislation. Some people are smart enough to see what really happened.

Sorry, I won't go searching for old quotes. I thought you had said something to that effect somewhere else. I was going to call you onit but figured, nah, it'll be one more run around discussion with you so I didn't. If you say you said no such thing and a I was mistaken, my apologies.

Once again, BobOrme is correct and Chilcoot is proven to be a fabricator of untruths, just like his Daddy.
And here's another one of Doc's gems. Needs an "up". We wouldn't want the first half of page one of the FFA forum section to contain anything else than the Doc's political bullhockey. Hey Doc, am I getting close to making your "ignore" list already?
obama seems incapable of telling the truth.

In 2011, when the press asked the White House whether President Obama ever met his Uncle Omar, an illegal immigrant living in Boston, a spokesman said there was “no record” of the two ever meeting. Fast forward to yesterday when the Boston Globe’s Maria Sacchetti reports that the two had met – and then some.

White House spokesman Eric Schultz tells her that back in his Harvard days, “The president did stay with him for a brief period of time until his apartment was ready. After that, they saw each other once every few months, but after law school they fell out of touch. The president has not seen him in 20 years, has not spoken with him in 10.”
You make your usual excellent points.

I can only assume your workplace/caseworker also keeps meticulous records of meetings you had with your uncle over 25 years ago.

Keep paving that path to irrelevancy, GOP. We'll just keep doing the hard work of making America better.
