Vegas flash floods

Just saw it on the local news here in SoCal. Looks pretty treacherous. Don't know how widespread it is, but, I hope all of you are OK. If all else, have another drink or three.
It's "Monsoon" season in Vegas.
The first time I went to Vegas it rained very hard one day.
Some casinos Downtown had to cover their gaming tables,
and gift shops were covering their items because of the dripping water from the ceilings.
Even some slot clubs were closed because their computers had to be covered.
I asked a store clerk, "Why don't you guys just fix the roofs?" They told me "because it never rains".

The next day I bought the newspaper. The headline read "Worse Storm in 100 Years".

Rick
Just stay high and dry in the casinos.

Great planning and design: Imperial Pallor's drive and parking structure used as a flood-control (or lack thereof) channel.

I think that's going to flood through the new Linq project in the future.

You'd think they would complete that stretch of the Flamingo Wash. Then again, it is McHa$$ah'$.

I saw this first hand eye-witness. It was a mild rain that didn't last long and we just happened to be wandering about the rear of IP and couldn't believe the flooding back there.
I got caught in that IP flooding one trip a long time ago. I couldn't believe how fast the water accumulated behind the IP.
