Video Poker Software Bug Exploited They Made Over 500K

I remember talking to a couple of the big wigs at IGT about this a few years ago. They believe it could have gone on indefinitely if the guy would have been smart about it.
The article is much more interesting than the exec's made it out to be.
I asked the wife what she remembers about it and she told me to "shut up and get off the internet forums". So much for our inside source.

Over the years, my wife had lost touch with her sister. I just told her I think I know where she ended up.

Remember several years ago at GN a BK dealer told me that they had switched a row of slots from $1 to $5 this was when the bill changer was on the side of the machine. The bill changer would tell the machine how many credits to credit when a bill was loaded. One of the bill changers was missed switching from $1 to $5 so if you put in a $100 you got 100 credits or $500. Someone found this and instead of just running the machine dry they had a group of people and would have different people playing and cashing in. They would play the machine for an hour before cashing in. They went 20 hours before the casino caught on and shut the machine down. The casino estimated that the group got a little over $40,000 and asked for it back. They got back only a couple thousand.
