Walking to the Pawn Stars Pawn Shop

Are the people waiting in line waiting to do business, or are most of them lookie-loos from watching the series? I hate long lines. I certainly wouldn't get in line with 70 or 80 people in front of me.

I don't watch this series, but the guy who is bald and is a father, shows up all the time to gigs that my friends in a band are playing.

Hey RR.... that will need it's own TR with pics.

I had some pics from that trip loaded up on my facebook page, but they got ate up somehow. That trip was last July, 100+ temps, and I was sweating like a pig pushing him in that chair. I thought I put up a mini-TR when we came back. I'll have to check.

yeah, I am confused by the idea of getting in a line to go into a pawn shop.

So I'm assuming because of the line to get in,
once you do get in, are you "herded" in, around, and out, or can you walk around in browse anywhere in the store ?

I'm guessing when the place is full, as soon as one person exits, they let one person in. We all bought something, t-shirts hats, and bobbleheads. They want you to have enough room to move around in the store without knocking anything over. The more you can move around, the better chance you will buy something.

You never see anyone actually BUYING anything on the show, only selling antique stuff.

So, what is there that the average Jo can buy?

They were filming while we were there. The production asst. told everyone "No Pictures During The Shooting". I took one anyway. I'll see if I can post it later.

They do have a lot of items for sale. Coins, toys, baseball cards, jewlery, etc. that were priced about what I have seen in other retail stores. One of the "quizzes" they did on the broadcast was "how many items do they buy every week?" If I remember the answer was around 500. Naturally, only the cream of the crop make the TV show.

On our visit to the Pawn Shop they let in groups of 15-20 at a time. We were given 15 minutes in the store and then the next group rotated in. If you were conducting real business you were allowed to stay and complete your transaction. They sell a lot of Pawn Stars memorabilia like autographed Chumlee magnets, etc. It may have changed but that was our experience.
About 95% of the people waiting in line outside, are there just to just to look/buy the touristy stuff from the TV show.

Also, most people want to know if any of the 4 guys in the show, are at the store, naturally, most of the time, the answer is "no".

The actual merchandise in the store is pretty over-priced - I don't think they care.

When we were there, everybody was mostly in back, and buying the t-shirts, mugs, etc - from the TV show.

The production asst. is on the right, Corey, Rick and the camera man.
