WARNING : : : WEATHER ALERT : : : WARNING

My locals buddy and I played golf 5-6 years ago on a day in July expected to tie the record, 117. We played at Tuscany which is in the east valley where it's always warmer than the airport. It was hot and we were doing ok until we caught up with a foursome that was slow and wouldn't wave us through. For a couple of holes we would run the cart in fifty yard circles just for some breeze while we waited. Finally we just skipped a hole and bypassed them. That was definitely the warmest round of golf I've ever played.

Good Luck!

I'm curious why you mentioned it was before 9/11?
On July 19, 2005, I walked from the Las Vegas Hilton to the Westward Ho, where cold beer never tasted so good.

Probably because security went way up after 9/11, and tours were restricted. It's just been in the last 4-5 years that they started offering the expanded tour again, and I'm not sure that the current expanded tour even goes as many places as the pre-9/11 tours.

You couldn't do the hard hat tour any more after 9/11. I don't know if they will ever allow that tour to take place again? This is a tour where you went way down into the dam.
I took that tour of Hoover Dam back in the mid 90's and it was quite

extensive. We were right down at the bottom of the dam and outside

on the ledge at the bottom. It was quite eerie looking up at the height

of the dam.

Yes, I went on that tour years ago.
Just curious why the 9/11 comment on a weather thread. Usually if someone puts 9/11 into a thread it has something to do with it.
