Welcoming Spring with 2 feet of snow!

Boy does this spring storm make me wish I was in Vegas. We are in the midst of a storm expected to drop about 18 new inches of snow...and tomorrow is the first day of spring. Can't say it's the first time this has happened (I've hidden my share of Easter eggs in snow drifts!), but I find I'm less tolerant as I grow older. The snow is still beautiful, but Mother Nature needs to keep it closer to Christmas and New Years and then let the flowers and trees take over. I'm jealous of all you folks walking the Strip in your shirt sleeves!!! k
Also hit hard here in north-central Mass.

I was just beginning to see clean ground patches in my yard until this storm.

It seems like all this snow will be on the ground for weeks.

What's SNOW?
Last week I was in sunny San Diego. This week I'm in Canada. It's snowing and cold. I hate it.

Last year, here in SE Wisconsin we were in the 70s each day. This year; our overnight wind chills are -5 degrees. Nice little swing there. Heading for Vegas in T minus 13 days. Cannot come fast enough. Though I do hope Opening Day of the Baseball season is nice. Nothing quite like tailgating in 33 degrees and drizzing weather.
High today expected to be 15°F here in Minnesnowda. Wind chills below zero all day. We've had the 3rd highest snowfall on record with more expected in a few days. Last year I said we'd eventually pay for the record warmth ... all it took was one year.
Cold as a witches teet here in Va. I wannaa go back to vegas, it was 80ish all last week, absolutely perfect weather!

Glad all that snow fell south of us here in Toronto. We only had snow flurries.

Which is why I moved from the NY/NJ area to Las Vegas over 20 years ago...
DEATH TO PUNXSUTAWNEY PHIL ! ! !

The prosecuting attorney of Butler County, Ohio, Michael Gmoser, has filed an indictment against Punxsutawney Phil for his flawed 2013 prediction of an early Spring.
Mr. Gosmer seeks the death penalty for the egregious "MISREPRESENTATION OF EARLY SPRING".
Ref: Indictment

(DonDiego notes the perfidious character of the aforementioned rodent suggested in the photograph above.)

DonDiego says "Rest in Peace, Phil".
