Well! Is It Time For a Silverton Trip?

I think it is! Haven't been there since Thanksgiving, and I haven't hit a Royal jackpot there in the last 3 trips! I SURE HOPE IT'S WAY UP THERE, AS I'M DUE!

Faye is going to go with me, and she's well overdue for a nice trip. She hasn't been there since August, and we'll probably bring her care giver to help her along. She'll probably spend most of her time in bed, and come downstairs when she feels like it! Naturally I'll get her a "scooter" to help her get around and enjoy the trip more. It now has been over a year (May1st) since she's walked. She feels like this might be her last time in Vegas...other than to be buried there. She plans on showing her son where her ashes are to be buried. Morbid thought, but she likes to face reality.

But this isn't going to be one of those 11 day trips, as I still have to get to Florida and get that condo problem out of the way. I just might fly from Vegas to Lauderdale as they have non stops from there which I can't do from Calif. Our dog sitter-care giver is leaving for Chicago on May 22 and have to get things done by then!

If the trip finally comes off, I'll start writing a TR from there. Hope all goes well! I'll keep you posted!

I love to read your reports from the Silverton. Your detailed descriptions of the rooms, food, valet etc. inspired me to try the hotel.
It is now my favorite!
I know you usually play video poker but if you come across any generous penny or dollar slot machines please put it in your report because I will be back there in late May/early June.

Surely you keep up with what is going on there. Any improvement in the gambling conditions? They seem to have been mostly down there for the last year or so.

I will be out there from may 19th -24th. Going to stop at the Silverton. If I see you I will come over for a quick hello.

Looks like we're going on this Friday in the early am. At least that's the plan. We better leave early or I'll be pissed. I just hate that Friday traffic going to Vegas. Lately we've been stuck on the 2nd floor instead of the 3rd which was our "normal" suite. Turns out they don't allow smoking on the 3rd floor. Also found out that our favorite maid...Pam...has just retired. Too bad, she was really great. Sorry I couldn't say good bye to her before she retired. I'm also double booking so I can play in the red rock slot tournament on Sat and Sunday. There is also a slot tournament at Sam's Town so I might check in there also on Monday. Nothing wrong with trying to pick up some bonus money in free slot tournaments.

If everything goes OK, I might just fly from there to FT. Lauderdale to straighten out those condo problems. I've got to get rid of those things post haste and get some serious money out of there.

Faye really can't wait to eat at Twin Creeks, and I'm also chompin' at the bit to have a HUGE cut of Prime Rib or Filet Mignon with Bernaise sauce. A nice lobster would also be nice if Faye wants to share hers like she usually does. Too bad her son is going to Laughlin that weekend. She's really pissed he won't be there for Mother's Day! Maybe he'll catch up with us if he comes back before we leave!
