What would you do?

I recently found a $20.00 bill on the floor of a local casino. About a half hour later, security tapped me on the shoulder and asked for money back. They said it did not belong to me. I was so embarassed, I will never pick up money again.

I just came back from the Mirage and cashed $1000 chips all day in amounts under $3,000. No questions and no player card needed. I was only asked once if I had any markers. This was at the main cage. They were always efficent and professional. Same thing at Venetian and Bellagio.

They are scanned by the cashier putting them on a mat right in front of you and that tells them which table they came from. You colored up to receive the $1,000 chips and the pit boss put all that info in before you left the table.

Yep, and those that think they could pick up a $1,000 chip and bet or cash it will get caught...eventually.

My father dropped his wallet on a casino floor in Niagara Falls. Someone found it and gave it to security without one dollar removed.

I would pay it forward given the chance. Of course, that little devil on my shoulder would probably call me a wuss.

A wallet is an entirely different subject. I'd go to the ends of the earth to return it to its' rightful owner. A found chip tho...ehhhhh?

Please read my post. If they tried to bet or cash it they would get caught.

If the casino knows where all the chips are, why didn't they find it?
Watch the newest episode of "Cheating Vegas"......Hall of fame episode.
Just returned from Las Vegas yesterday and had a great time. However, when I was at Ellis Island waiting for a table at the cafe I must have dropped a $20.00 slot voucher on the floor. I noticed within seconds that it was gone. I went to the Player's Club to report it missing but they said "too bad". They weren't concerned. But later at Bally's at the next slot machines from where I was playing, a couple of young ladies were sitting down to play and discovered a ticket voucher in a machine and were delighted with the find and who was going to play with it, when security came over immediately and confiscated the voucher and told them it was illegal for them to use it. Two different experiences.
At Gold Coast we were playing at the sports bar in the back. We cashed out and played some of the golf game and then went off to the sports book. I went to cash in some chips and my VP ticket but couldn't find my VP ticket in my pocket. I must have forgotten to cash it out. I took my players card, though. When I went back to the VP machine, it still had my $15.75 still in it. A few people were around but no one seemed to notice. Sometimes you get lucky.
