Whats up with the cost of potato chips?

$4 a bag? It is high time the government starts regulating the price of potato chips.
If you enjoy drinking soda with your chips, the savings on sodas these days (there is a thread on this) will ease the pain of the $4 bag.

So it's Big Potato hooking up with Big Oil? That figures, damn!!!!

What do you think they fry those chips in?

What the hell. Is this some sort of inflation condemnation theme. Next thing people will complain about the rising costs of weed and blow-jobs.

LOL - I read that, then a few minutes later I saw a new post from Bagiant.

Guess I put 2 and 2 together and got 5 this time

HAHA, figured this stupid thread would generate some pretty comical posts

It's not the cost of the chips, but the cost of the precious air that is in the bag.
Where do you live that you are paying $ 4.00 for a bag of chips ??

Here in NY, in almost every store, all flavors of Wise brand potato chips are $ 2.00 ?? Not just the local mom & pop stores, but Walmart is even less, like $ 1.89 ??

Maybe the cute little bag of chips is $2. I go for Pringles. No expensive air.
The $2.00 Wise are a not the cute little bag for lunch boxes, but the full size 8oz bag.
Pringles are good, but i hate that they only salt one side of the chip and the full size tube is only 6oz and they are not true potato chips, they are made from dehydrated potato flakes and are extruded in a thick paste form.
