What's up with TV

Recently CBS cancelled Unforgettable (ranked as a top 20 show) and Harry's Law (the highest rated scripted show on NBC). The reason given that even though the overall ratings were high the average age demo of the shows was to old and advertisers prefer to spend their ad budgets on the 18-49 demo.

Marketers continue to treat anybody over 50 as "dead" even though this demo has the most disposable income. For example, my under 49 sons have squat extra cash after they pay their rent, student loan, car loan and groceries.

So TV give us over 50's some respect!
You can watch Matlock reruns on TNT.
Matlock had a good run on TV along with Murder, She Wrote and they were aimed at an older demographic. But, the advertisers pay the bills. NBC will replace those shows with two lame shows with crappier ratings.

AHH, but the younger folks have crdit cards and use them irresponsibly buying stuff they may need getting started in life, but probably, mostly junk they don't.
