Zip line downtown

Is there a minimum age for riders on the zip line downtown?

There's no minimum age per se, but there is a minimum and maximum weight (60lbs and 250lbs are the limits). Too light, and they get stranded in the middle of the line.

Let Me Google That For You

They kicked teachur and Don Diego off the boards but are keeping chilcoot........go figure?(google this!)

To answer your question;
They told me there was no age limit per se and that as long as the harness could be safely fastened and sinched up and the kid seemed emotionally ready (was'nt shitting his britches/crying, etc) young ones could go.

With a small tip, us growing young boys slightly over 250lbs can still get on too!

I can see some drunk walking out of a casino downtown, looking up to see a screaming kid go flying by.

I was $hitting my britches and almost crying but they still let me go. It was really fun. I'm scared of heights but really only felt like I was going to die while I was up on the scaffolding waiting to jump. It's pretty wobbly up there.
Make sure you bring id and any documents you might need to prove a kid is yours if their last name is different. Also, don't worry about hiding a purse in the car or wearing flip flops. They will put all of your stuff in a bag and attach it to the harness. They won't let you wear glasses unless you have them strapped to your head. My friend hid hers in her bra and pulled them out right as she was jumping.

I would think the liability they face from letting someone over the weight limit do the zipline would be far more than the tip. Do they have a scale they put you on if they think you are close to the limit? Do people tell them that their shoes weigh 40 pounds?

That scaffolding just doesn't look safe enough for that height.

I would like to see something more solid and permanent.

+1

I have to agree with this one. cootie always seems to have a negative sarcastic comment, especially if you don't agree with him/her, and gets away with it. Coot always seems to be a step away with comments that borderline on insults to others. As you notice I hardly ever read or respond to this person's comments anymore as I don't really value anything coot says. I for one (and probably others) wouldn't shed a tear or make an issue if this person is banned from the board.

Yes, the OP could have googled to try to find information but instead as a "friend" to others on LVA used the board to ask a simple question and gets an insult back instead. Instead of being nice and providing information coot always seems to be sarcastic when replying.
