Zombie Apocalypse

franksynopsis is correct about the "evolution" of zombies, particularly movie-zombies, in modern culture.

Knowledge of zombies in little DonDiego's world came from black and white motion pictures, many filmed before little DonDiego was born, in which the zombie was simply a slave to his voodoo-master, as often as not Bela Lugosi, and behaved as if in an hypnotic trance. His usual task was to capture defenseless nubile young white women for his master. Why this appealed to young DonDiego is a mystery best left unexamined.

Anyway, movies like I Walked With a Zombie :

Now zombies are more like this:

DonDiego like the old ones better.

In any case, everyone should prepare for the Zombie Apocalypse, . . . lest human beings go the way of the dinosaur:

I was easily frightened as a child. I Walked With a Zombie terrified me. I am also fond of the Rocky Erickson song with the same title.

Maybe the zombies will eat the faces off of the politicians????
Armando Aguilar of the Miami Fraternal Order of Police told WSVN he believed the attacker was likely overdosing on LSD.

"What's happening is whenever we see that a person has taken all of his clothes off and has become violent, it's indicative of this excited delirium that's caused by overdose of drugs," he said. "What's happening is, inside their body their organs are burning up alive."

If we ever have a zombie outbreak, I'll bet these folks can help: zombie eliminators

Now the authorities are blaming this entire incident on "bath salts". Ref: ABC News

DonDiego intends to discontinue his Saturday night Calgon baths. teechur will have to deal with it.

Oh, and by the way, the US Center for Disease Control has now joined Canadian officials in warning of the Zombie Apocalypse. Ref: CDC [n.b. It appears that today, 30 May, the CDC website is overloaded; the citizenry is wising up.]

Supposedly the attack was caused by a designer drug called "bath salts." It is packaged as "bath salts" and labelled, "not for human consumption" to avoid federal drug laws. Side effects reportedly include nudity, super-strength, halludinations and biting attacks. Sounds completely nasty.

Hmm, . . . DonDiego was only looking for softer more touchable skin.

Well, . . . well, . . . welly, . . . well, . . . WELL.

It seems that poor old DonDiego was once again ahead of the curve in recognizing the ongoing social phenomenon. "Newsweek & The Daily Beast are tracking news of instances that may be the precursor to a zombie apocalypse." : Zombie Activity, May 2012

DonDiego presents a partial list of Rules for Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse, as noted in the motion picture Zombieland :

Rule #1:"Cardio"
Rule #2: "Double tap"
Rule #3: "Beware of bathrooms"
Rule #4: "Seatbelts"
Rule #6: "Cast iron skillet"
Rule #7: "Travel light"
Rule #8: "Get a kickass partner"
Rule #12: "Bounty paper towels"
Rule #15: "Bowling Ball"
Rule #17: "Don't be a hero."
Rule #18: "Limber up"
Rule #21: "Avoid strip clubs"
Rule #22: "When in doubt, know your way out"
Rule #29: "The buddy system"
Rule #31: "Check the back seat"
Rule #32: "Enjoy the little things"
Rule #33: "Swiss army knife"
Rule #34: "Clean socks"
Rule #48: "Hygiene"
Rule #49: "Always have backup"
