While we're on the subject of gambling books [see QoD 9/1/06], how about your take on the best gambling/Las Vegas fiction books?

Aside from blackjacktournaments.com, where can I find information about blackjack tournaments?

I have a couple of hundred players-club cards from casinos in Vegas and all of Mississippi that are either current, imploded, or washed away. Are there any collectors you know of who put a value on them? Or are they trash?

Where does the gambling term "punter" come from?

Has any Las Vegas casino ever dealt the game of Trente et Quarante? Europeans have told me that this game is popular on the Continent and would be a natural here.

In your opinion, what are the best gambling books ever written?

What are my options if I go broke in Las Vegas? I mean, if I gamble away my last dime, is there anywhere to turn for some emergency money?

Are there any casinos on the Strip that offer a class in the table games?

Poker and Comps, Part Two

I've started to play poker in some of the poker rooms around town. Nothing big, just low limit. I have two questions. Can I get comps for playing a $2-$4 or a $4-$8 game? And what kind of comps do the big players, like in the thousands and no-limit, get?
