I recently read in David McKee's blog that Jersey Boys is closing at Paris after eight years. That got me to thinking about what shows were big 20 years ago, when I first started visiting Las Vegas, like Siegfried & Roy. My question is: How many shows actually last for more that 10 years? And what are the longest-running shows in Las Vegas?

You’ve recently been talking about the history of hotel themes, including MGM Grand, with the Wizard of Oz and all. Do you have any information you can share about the "kidnapping" of Toto from the former Emerald City in the casino, and his subsequent return?

The themed era in Vegas is often regarded as a bust but wasn't that period one of the most profitable? Isn't this the time when visitation was at its highest and gross revenues at near all time highs? It seems to me that once the removal of all the themes started is when everything tanked.

The Colonel and The King: Part II

For the five or 10 people out there, like Ben Carson, who actually don't know the vile history of Tom Parker, maybe just a short bio on Q&A? I understand that he bilked Elvis out of 50 percent of his income, as The King didn't know much about the usual 10 percent (at that time) agent's commission? Did they or why didn't they ever fight this control? Must be an interesting story. I wonder how many people know that Elvis had blonde hair and dyed it because he thought it would look better on stage and in the movies?
