Your Hard Rock ownership answer on Dec. 8 did not mention Hard Rock Biloxi. Is that casino owned by the Seminoles? I was also surprised to see a failure to mention the large Hard Rock Hotel/Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. What about the new Hard Rock in Tahoe?

We will be having a reunion in Vegas this spring. We will need about 25 rooms. What is the best way to negotiate a deal on rooms, and what hotels can you suggest on the Strip to accommodate a group of 50 or so people?

I was wondering what is the status of the iconic Blue Angel? Is she still standing guard over the motel? I make a trip out that way on the bus every time I'm in Las Vegas to see her. I'm not certain what makes her so special to me but I just love going by and seeing her. I hope that if taken down, the statue will be erected somewhere else where people can still go by and see her.

Now that it appears Caesars is heading into bankruptcy, how is the financial health of the other big players, MGM Mirage, Wynn and Las Vegas Sands?

With Caesars close to Chapter 11, I read where there was more than company. Caesars Palace is owned by one company, but the other hotels on the Strip (Harrah’s, Bally's, etc.) are owned by another company that is not in Chapter 11? Can you explain who owns what and what is going broke in Caesars land?

As a follow-up to the recent resort fee QOD, have you heard anything further about the Federal Trade Commission's investigation of resort fees (and other "bundled" fees)? I have heard the very occasional murmuring about a Federal Trade Commission probe, but very little actual information. I absolutely hate the resort fees and find them to be nothing but a money grab, especially when you are surprised by them at check-in or check-out. I am now a Vegas local but I am quite sure my previous annual trips here would have diminished due to the fees.

Can you please provide a list of non resort-fee hotels? Thank you.

I just had a wonderful trip to Vegas and I noticed the neon writing on the top side of "The Mirage" hotel and the writing on the top side of the "Wynn" appear to be penned by the same hand. Is that correct and if so, do you know who's handwriting the neon signs were modeled after? Thanks!

I just returned from seeing The Beatles LOVE at The Mirage. I have seen this show more than five times over the years. We recognized some of the performers but many appear new. Do they have back-up performers to fill in for sickness and holidays? What is the turnover rate on the show?

I've learned to disregard the customary Bugsy Siegel mythology, as it pertains to the Las Vegas Strip and the Flamingo. We all know that Siegel didn’t really create Las Vegas, and that the Flamingo was not the first casino on U.S. 91. In fact, some sources maintain that Siegel came to the Flamingo project late, after Billy Wilkerson had broken ground and was seeking help with funding and access to building materials. I have even read versions of the story that give Wilkerson credit for naming the property. But in a book I’m currently reading (When the Mob Ran Vegas), the author maintains that Siegel was on board from the beginning, and was even responsible for securing the land from Margaret Folsom via Moe Sedway. Now I don’t know what to believe concerning the origins of the Flamingo. Can you help separate fact from legend?
